a picture of good health: making art that heals, strengthens, challenges, and changes you - Mon. 3/18, 6-7:30 pm at UCLA Semel Institute Auditorium
It is starting to be widely accepted that making art can be therapeutic. But what exactly is it about art that is healing and life-enhancing? Is all art-making intrinsically healing or are there certain ingredients that must be present for wellness to spring from artistic expression? If such ingredients exist, can they be harnessed to heal, strengthen, challenge, and change you when you need it most? Engage in an evening of inquiry with board certified art therapist Erica Curtis, MFT, ATR-BC. Free to UCLA faculty, staff, students, with ID presented at the door. $12 for the public.
